Cedar Breaks is similar to the more famous Bryce Canyon in that is a colorful amphitheatre with interesting rock formations and beautiful scenery. This place is closed from late fall through late spring because of heavy snow. Its elevation is over 10,000 feet and there was snow on the ground even into July when it was in the 100s in Zion, just a few miles away. This place is certainly a refreshing and majestic place to get away from the crowds at the larger parks in SW Utah.
