Cuyahoga Valley is one of the more unique National Parks in the country in that it's the only one located in a large metropolitan area and provides a scenic oasis from the surrounding cities of Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. This is a very developed park with several interstates, houses and indeed entire towns within it's boundaries, however there is still scenery (see Brandywine Falls and The Ledges for example). The park protects several sights along the Cuyahoga River, which is famous for catching fire due to massive pollution several decades ago.
